Seymour Business League
Events
The SBL hosts a variety of events throughout the year while adding marketing support to events hosted by Seymour businesses and the community. We're always looking for new committee members & volunteers to assist with the success of our events. Below are brief descriptions of our main SBL events.
Spring Rock Hunt
Every spring as the snow begins to melt, we place rocks in each of Seymour's parks for people to go out, find, take a picture with and share on social. Each rock features an SBL member's business and at the end winners receive gift certificates or prizes to local businesses.

Business Mixer
Networking is one of the most important aspects to business. SBL businesses and members of the business community gather together to share a meal, drinks, and great conversation. This last year we had keynote speakers during dinner.

Battle of the Burger
Being the Home of the Hamburger means people want to know where the best hamburger in town is. This annual competition recognizes the best burger in town with public signage and recognition during Hamburger Fest. Winner is decided with a public poll.
Annual Golf Outing
The golf outing is our main fundraising event. The day is filled with fun, golfing, raffles, and a great meal. Check out our golf outing page here for more information.

Shop the Block
During the fall, local businesses open their store fronts for local vendors to set up shop. Last year, over 8,000 people saw our event on social. For more information, check click here.

Turkey Trot
This community run offers the people in Seymour and surrounding areas a local fun run opportunity.

Tinsel the Town
Do you decorate for the holidays? This cheerful competition helps to bring joy to the city. For more info, click here.

Holiday Hoobie Whatty
This community event brings everyone together to jingle, frolic, and play on a Saturday in December. For more info, click here.

Chug & Cheer
As holiday bar crawl, this event provides a nice night cap to the Holiday Hoobie Whatty. Go tuck the kids in and come on out to the local bars!
